John Riggins has been named President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau. Riggins is the 5th CEO in BBB’s 47 year history of serving 13 mid-west Texas counties.
Riggins previously ran the Fort Worth and Pensacola Florida BBBs as CEO and began his BBB carrer in Memphis, Tennessee. He recently ran his own home health company in Hurst, Texas helping to keep seniors in their homes the last 4 years. “I am honored to be the fifth BBB CEO in this firm’s history. I look forward to serving and meeting all our accredited businesses and consumers to further our mission in the Big Country market place”, Riggins said.
“Abilene is very fortunate to have the depth of knowledge and years of BBB experience that John Riggins brings to our area. John is a seasoned BBB Professional and I am especially pleased that he is committed to an independent local BBB organization,” said Paige Watts, BBB Board Chair, and head of the search committee. “Our Board is also pleased that retiring BBB President Steve Abel will continue at our BBB during a transition period. He will continue serving the customers and businesses in our area,” Watts said. "I know everyone in the Big Country will roll out the welcome mat for John and make him feel right at home," Watts said.
