The 2013 Torch Award was a success. We would like to thank everyone who had a part of making it a success. We had about 150 people there to honor the businesses that won the prestigious Torch Award. Master of Ceremonies was George Levesque. He did an outstanding job. Mr. Levesque is the Managing Editor/Anchor, of KTXS News. Jessica Watson led the invocation, and Dr. Sandra Harper, the new President of McMurry University, gave a warm welcome. K.O. Long introduced the Keynote speaker, Mr. Larry Conlee. Mr. Conlee is the former COO, Product Development and Manufactoring, Research in Motion LTD, the parent company to the Blackberry.
Gary Grubbs, BBB Board Chair, handed out the awards following the Keynote speech. The nominees for the Torch Award was, Automated Copy Systems, Creative Graphic Solutions, Gary's Automotive, Odds and Ends Handyman Service and Tige' Boats.
Tige' Boats and Automated Copy Systems won the award. Both were real pleased about the recognition. Video profiles of the winners were presented and produced by Red 3 Productions.
