The Vision of the Better Business Bureau is an ethical marketplace where buyers and sellers can trust each other. The Mission is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust.
The BBB seeks to create a community of trustworthy businesses, setting standards for marketplace trust, encouraging and supporting best practices, celebrating marketplace role models and denouncing substandard marketplace behavior.
The Better Business Bureau has established an annual awards program to promote and celebrate public recognition of for-profit businesses that are positive examples who maintain a solid commitment to conducting their business practices in an ethical fashion.

INFORMATION
The Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics is open to all for-profit businesses that serve retail and wholesale markets in Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Eastland, Fisher, Jones, Mitchell, Nolan, Runnels, Scurry, Shackelford, Stephens and Taylor counties.

Individuals and employees are encouraged to make nominations for this prestigious recognition in accordance with the criteria for the award. Customers are also encouraged to nominate companies with whom they do business that they feel meet the Torch Award criteria.
CATEGORIES
The Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics will be awarded to a company with 1 to 10 employees, 11 to 99 and 100+ employees.
JUDGING PANEL
Candidates for the Torch Award will be evaluated by an independent prestigious panel of judges from the Business and Academic Community.
